I'm So Confused

The Bush administration told me that insurgent attacks would increase in the run-up to the election. Well. Wasn't the election, like, a week or two ago?

But then I ran into this headline this morning:

Insurgents Step Up Lethal Attacks in Iraq

My government wouldn't lie to me.

Would they?

Must have been one of those nasty misunderestimations.
